Industry Veterans Repeat Hugely Successful Workshop on Virtual Events for Association and Trade Show Executives and Managers

Lexington, MA (November 7, 2011)—Organizers of the second “EastVirtual Event Workshop,” have announced dates for their one-day, face-to-face educational program on virtual event strategy, technology, platforms, programming, and staffing for trade associations and for-profit exhibition organizers. The event will be held March 21, 2011 at the ASAE Conference Center in Washington, DC.

The workshop is a collaboration of two exhibition industry veterans: Warwick Davies, principal of The Event Mechanic!, a trade show and conference consultancy based in Lexington, Massachusetts, and Michelle Bruno, President of Bruno Group Signature Events, a content marketing firm for the face-to-face event industry, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The EastVirtual Event Workshop is designed specifically for trade association and for-profit trade show executives and managers in the event marketing, sales, digital marketing, community, meetings, Web, IT services, learning, and training departments. The program offers participants a curriculum covering virtual event business models, platforms, budgets, content, staff, exhibits, sponsorship sales, engagement, program planning, assessment, and ROI.

“Virtual events are a critical communication channel for associations and trade show organizations. EastVirtual will give attendees the fundamentals of virtual trade shows and conferences. Participants will leave the workshop knowing the first steps for building an expedited 30-day implementation strategy,” Warwick Davies commented.

The workshop instructors are experienced virtual event practitioners from leading trade associations, trade show organizations, and agencies.

“Associations are looking for education on virtual events to help them reach new audiences, generate new income streams, and extend the life of their face-to-face events. Many have already decided to implement virtual programs and now need the hands-on information necessary to bring their online events to fruition,” said Michelle Bruno.
