I live in the Boston area, where it has been muggy for the last six weeks, like the Deep South. When you work from a home office like I do, those days it’s hot means that even I wish for a return to the corporate climate-controlled environment…
Busy has never been better though, despite the recession and despite the summer. And I realized that I am not afraid of the future, despite the media’s projection’s of gloom and doom in the United States.
I am traveling to more US destinations for the business, less outside of the country for either business or pleasure(to the extent that my passport just expired without me knowing it).
For July 4th weekend, I jumped in the car and went down the Hudson Valley, a hidden gem full of treasures for a history buff such as myself. From FDR’s Springwood to the Vanderbilt Mansion, Washington Irving’s cottage, Rockefeller’s Kykuit and West Point, there was 300 years of history within 100 miles….Definately worth a look if you’re in the Northeast.
Now back to my sweating…..
